The Ohio Statehouse is located at 1 Capitol Square, Columbus, OH 43215. Visitor parking is available nearby, and the building is accessible to all visitors. Allow 15–20 minutes from downtown parking to reach the main entrance.

Know the Hours & Plan Ahead
The Statehouse is open to visitors during regular business hours. The Senate Chamber is open to the public when the Senate is in session (typically Tuesday and Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., Thursday at 11:00 a.m.) and during guided tours. Check the Senate schedule before you visit to time your trip.

Guided tours are available and offer rich historical context about the building's architecture and Ohio's legislative tradition. Self-guided tours are also welcome—printed guides are available at the information desk. Both options include access to the Senate Chamber when not in session.

All visitors pass through a standard security screening at the main entrance. The Statehouse is fully accessible to visitors with mobility challenges, and accessible restrooms and elevators are available throughout the building. Senator offices are open Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or by appointment. Visits to the Statehouse and meetings with elected officials are free and open to all constituents.
